The Bruin cross country team was busy this past week, competing in 2 meets in 3 days with a Saturday/Monday race schedule.  On Saturday, the girls team finished 3rd in the nine-team Clinton Central Invitational.  Brooke Snoeberger led the way for Tri-West with a solid 6th place finish.  Erin Cox was 2nd for the ladies with a 14th place finish and Alyssa Stacy showed her late season surge is for real with a 17th place result.  Jessica Kennedy, Ashley Burket, Erin Boles and Madison Warden ran some of their best times of the year on a perfect morning for running.  In the JV race, freshmen Harlin Tyo and Sydney Terrell worked together and finished 1-2 in the race!!!  Great job all ladies!!

The boys team ran smart much like the girls and it showed in their times.  Chris Wright, Cory Hagemier, Matt Knights, Eli Schabel, Alec Warden and Robby Stumph all ran solid times and brought their team home in 6th place!

On Monday, the teams traveled to Covenant Christian to face off against Covenant Christian and University.  The boys team finished 3rd but Cory Hagemier ran a personal best time and finished 6th overall!!!

The girls team defeated both Covenant Christian and University to win the meet!  Brooke Snoeberger and Alyssa Stacy led the ladies with 3rd and 6th place finishes.  Erin Cox finished right behind in 7th.  Jessica Kennedy finished 9th and Ashley Burket, Erin Boles and Madison Warden came home in 11, 12 and 13th.  Harlin Tyo and Sydney Terrell competed hard for the ladies as well.

The regular season is winding down for Tri-West and the postseason will begin soon.  The Bruins travel to Southmont this weekend for the Sagamore Conference meet on a hilly, demanding course.
